When you join, you will receive a suggested materials list via email... But don't worry, you do not need everything on the list right away. You can start simple and slowly increase your art supplies over time.

Here are the most important supplies:

  (size is approx 12"x16.5")

• A few big A1 sheets of watercolour paper or Stonehenge paper
  (size is approx 23.5"x33")

Canvases or BoardsIt would be great to have 2 or 3 canvases or boards to start with.
Suggested size would be bigger than approx 60cm either side up to 100cm (YEAH, go big if you can!)
(size is approx 24"x40" or bigger in any orientation).

Mediums

• Matisse surface tension breaker (my favourite)
• Or other high flow medium
• Gel medium (for collage)

And a few brushes...

Our weekly painting sessions run for an one hour.

Many people paint along during the session, while others prefer to watch first and then paint later. And both ways are perfectly fine!

Spending one to two or three hours per week is enough time to explore the exercises in depth.

ALL of our Zoom Sessions are recorded and uploaded into the HUB (our resource library). You will have easy access to view the replays whenever it suits you.

Our Creative Community has been online for 5 years now... We have a very broad range of experience in the group, from absolute beginners through to experienced artists.

I LOVE working with beginners and often find that progress happens quickly... especially with a regular commitment.

The creative exercises and the way that I share them is suitable for beginners - Each individual interprets the lesson in their own way. There is learning at every stage.

So yes, the membership is great for beginners and you will be fully supported every step of the way.

We explore a variety of themes inside the membership.

Each month has a different focus, ranging from Abstract Expression through to Figurative Art.

Our focus is always on individual and personal expression, whether we are immersed in observational drawing/painting with feeling... OR splashing paint with wild abandon.

Our approach is always to express authentically and with feeling.

Art of Flow
membership structure

The membership is structured into 12 elements, each with a variety of exercises:

1. kickstART (a members only challenge)
2. Portraits with Personality
3. Colour
4. Intuitive Painting • Depth & Space
5. Nature -  Water, Sky, Trees & Leaves
6. Our Place & What We See
7. Figurative Art
8. Seeking Clarity
9. Animals
10. Expressive Painting & Trees
11. Abstract Art
12. Movement & Energy

There is no minimum commitment.

If you join us with a monthly subscription you can cancel your membership at any time by emailing us. (No questions asked).

It is possible to join with a monthly subscription and then switch to a yearly membership if you decide that you LOVE it and want to receive the 2 month discount for a full year commitment.

Many of our members lead busy lives and dip in and out of our creative offerings depending on available time.

The membership program is very flexible... It is not like a linear course.

It has been designed so that all exercises are stand alone and do not rely on previous learning... although they also build on each other.

You are able to join in with the current exercise without needing to 'catch up' on missed weeks.

The content is laid out for you like a smorgasbord and you are welcome to enjoy the parts that interest you. There is no need to do everything!

Art of Flow encourages you to discover your own artistic voice… We love to support and celebrate our members who are exhibiting and selling their original artworks.

However, if you are learning by following more closely and if your paintings look similar to the paintings in our demonstrations, we ask that you do not exhibit these ‘learning pieces’ unless you have a clear acknowledgement of Art of Flow alongside the work.

We truly love being acknowledged and seeing your creativity bloom!

We love it when you share the art that you create with Art of Flow on your social media.

We ask that you tag us on:
